I am more than likely going to buy two of these (http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_led_par_56_alu_poliert.htm) but notice that they obviously come with a european plug.
It is just a simple case of cutting the old plug off and putting a uk plug on them? And is it easy to make the cable longer?

Just out IECs on them and then you can use a longer IEC to UK plug to make it the length you require.
I have four of these but in black, not silver. They are rather bright for such a smallish unit.
I just cut off the original plug and fitted a uk one. Job done. :)
Was thinking about going for Darren's ideas so i can have less cable and tidy the rig up that bit more.

If I put a DMX cable linking both will they do the same light configs etc or would I need to buy the dmx lighting controller as well?

They don't master and slave - you'll need a controller.

Jumping on the thread slightly, does anyone know if these http://www.djkit.co.uk/product.php?id=2766
work with any LED par (like the thomann ones) or is it just the Visio
or is there a simular simple controller just to handle say four LED pars?

I'm pretty sure that controller only works with the Visio pars - I would check with Prolight though to be sure.

I did at the NADJ show, & you're correct. They don't even work with iColours even though they look identical (OK with a different paint job)
