Hi Folks,

I'm about to purchase two 32in LCD's to use on the road with OtsAV for video disco, karaoke and conference work. Looking for low (ish) cost stands / brackets for them. Any ideas / suggestions?

Cheers

J

Wouldn't it be better to get flightcases with intergrated backets or mounts Jamie?

I know that doesn't come under low (ish) costs, but how are you going to transport them?

Be careful getting cheap stands, you don't want them falling apart:eek:
There isn't too many out there luckily:)

Have a search about here: http://www.cpc.co.uk

If you want something that can take a lot of 'on the road' abuse, will last forever and not let you down and be 100% safe (thinking PLI?) then go for UNICOL.
However they cost a king's ransom:( could be worth it though - it's what all the professional AV companies use. You'll notice UNICOLS are what TV companies use:)

I don't unfortunatley. I have seen them recently but can't remember where. ust out of interest Jamie, have you bought the LCDs yet, cos Ebuyer are doing extremely cheap ones here. (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131916)

Yep i can highly recommend Unicol products... I've used them in the past and they have always been made really well and rock solid.... and as you say they are used in lots of TV Studios as well as on conferences and Exhibitions throughout the UK and further affield.... Last month i bought a universal ceiling mount kit for my 42" plasma from them with Truss adapter (so i can fly it from my truss rig) and again can verify the build and safety aspects are second to none!!!
