Just tried those fancy new kronenbourg cans you can get with the funny widgety thingy in them. :beer1: Seriously unimpressed. Tastes like flat soda water. No taste at all. Avoid IMO

There are different sorts of beer and fizzy lager is just one of them.

I'd love to see a Belgian bitter or stout...

Fair comment......but they call it "Brune" beer which is the closest to bitter.....but i've never see stout....or you can get a "Blonde" beer, which is the fizzy larger....they also make a "Red Cherry beer" which is rather nice.....

If it's Belgian, as a rule it's quite acceptable, whatever the designation.;)

The Brune is a fine fine drink. Did you know you can get many black lagers, baffles folks when they ask for a lager, and you pass them what looks like a dark mild!

I suggest you try some of the ones which are not the mass produced dingo's urine, et al. Artois Bock is high on the list, it's a real drink! That's before we try some of the French beers, which are actually lagers.
There's as much choice in beer as there is in music!

Isn't Stella Artois Belgian?

Your case falls at the first hurdle

Ah.....:o ...I can see it now.....:p

Isn't Stella Artois Belgian?
Correct......but a lot of people make the assumption it comes from France....which if said to the Belgium people would offend....and more than likely end with a slapped face...........:D

Which widget is in these - I work at a factory that makes them - I played a big part in the design of the first in-can Guinness Widget. :D

It says 'scuba system' on the can which I think means a floating widget.

Which bit of " as a rule" didn't you understand? The term is meant to imply something which is right most times( but obviously not all) ;)
I cannot recomend Stella's big sister Artois highly enough. She's lovely!;) :D

Your obviously too impatient to let them get cool enough. They only 'explode' if they're not cold enough.
