Hi I am currently selling most of my set up and up grading to a much tighter and top quality rig.

I like the idea of a set of the small showtech micro spot led moving heads as well as lights such as impossibleds/LED parcans etc.

Although good for the size not hugely impressed by the showtech moving heads; does anyone know of a current improvement or something in the pipeline? Same with the impossibleds?

Basically i want them to be small as possible but effective.

Hpw about these. I don't know when they are going to be avaliable over here but they use one 20 watt white led so you can still choose your colours and gobo's

The lights look great! How good are AD products, been reading through a book i got from the NADJ fair and it seems as if they copy many of the ideas of other products?

Maybe im wrong as the catalogue is very large :)

What make is it and model? seen a few which look similar

Would definitely invest in a £1000 + MH if it was worth it.

ps: Sorry Steve for the multiple post - only thought of it after.

Over an hour later, I wouldn't expect anyone to add to an existing post after that long.

what you tend to find is that there is one company that makes the lighting then sells them to the companies like american dj, chauvet ,acme ect and they put there own brand name on them
must say the x move looks good but when you see them on a video its different to seeing them in a function room
i know mike from phase one ( djanddiscostuff.com) likes them

Thats what i have found, which unless they are spectacular, i cant see sense in investing that much, considering a standard moving head can do just as good job at a quarter of the price?

What i really want is 4 very good small moving head light on a t bar all dmx'd up and flight cased, which will save time setting up and look great!

Looks like im going to wait for now? My pilots 250's do a great job anyway

Unlikely. These ones are nearly 400 watt worth of high powered LED at a 15 degree beam angle. The blinders I have are only 84 watt, and they are very very bright. A standard LED par is about 30 watts at a wider beam angle.

On paper, this new mover is awesome, in reality it should be fantastic.

Yep quite like the look of them too... With the size and weight of them you could fit 4 on a Tbar quite easily.

It's the same with most products... there's allot of kit around thesedays that's identical but just has a different company badge on it.

American DJ have been around for a very long time.. Just not here in the UK until recently. They are a similar business to prolight (before prolight started to go bad that is) and a few of the good prolight support staff i used to know now work for American DJ so support should be top notch with ADJ too.

Just had the price on that Chauvet 6500. Looking more like £2.5k per unit end user price! :(
