Hi all,

Had an enquiry last night. It followed on from a 40th birthday I did a while back that was absolutely brilliant with a superb (in my opinion) request list. The enquiry came via a phonecall, the customer said "We were at that party and we hope it isn't short notice but we have decided to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and want you to do it!!" - I was chuffed.

So, this morning I sent off the booking forms by email, they signed them, scanned them and sent them back along with another awesome list of tracks. I won't list them all but just to give you some kind of idea, here are a few of them. This is almost my perfect function and I am looking forward to it already.

The Clash - Rock the Casbah
New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
The Undertones - Teenage Kicks
The Ramones - Sheila is a Punk Rocker
The Buzz****s - What do I get? / Ever fallen in love?
Violent Femmes - Blister in the sun
The Pogues - Fiesta
The Specials - Little B***h / Rat Race / Too much Too young
The Selecter - Three Minute Hero / Too much pressure
The Beat - Mirror in the bathroom / Hands off she's mine / Tears of a clown
Madness - One Step Beyond / The Prince
The Bodysnatchers - Do rock steady
Bad Manners - Lip up fatty / Special Brew
Dexys Midnight Runners - Geno
Blondie - One way or another / Hanging on the telephone
Joy Division - Love will tear us apart
Adam & The Ants - Antmusic
Stray Cats - Rock this town / Rumble in Brighton
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence / Just can't get enough
Gary Numan - Cars
FGTH - Relax / Two Tribes
The Smiths - Hand in glove / How soon is now
Arctic Monkeys - When the sun goes down
The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger
Reef - Place your hands
The Futureheads - Hounds of love
The Libertines - Can't stand me now
Bloc Party - This Modern Love
David Bowie - Heroes
Kasabian - LSF
Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict a riot
The Cure - Boys don't cry
The Cult - Lil' Devil
XTC - Sgt Rock is going to help me
Prodigy - Firestarter
Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl
Basement Jaxx - Where's your head at / Red Alert
Candy & The Kisses - The 81
Gloria Jones - Tainted Love
Frank Wilson - Do I love you?
Dobie Gray - Out on the floor
Curtis Mayfield - Move on up
Al Wilson - The Snake

There's loads more, all of which are old skool dance tunes too (Baby D, Strike, Lisa Marie Experience, Robin S etc).

Dunno about you lot but THIS is my kind of function.

Enquired, Booked and all sorted within 12 hours - Sorted!

Its Always a feel good factor when someone says to you"I was at a party that you were the dj at and you were brilliant can i book you for my party".

Your music list has a lot of great 80s tunes on it,im sure you will enjoy playing them as much as they enjoy listening to them.

Wicked play list, I would also sling in she sells sanctuary - the cult and a bit of OMD for good measure :)

Definately! Just love Enola Gay by OMD. Electric pop at its best!

I noticed the Smiths stuff but what about Panic? It's a great tune so long as the crowd don't take the "Hang the DJ" bit too seriously! :D :D

Anyway, congrats on the booking. Sounds like it's gonna be great night! (Can I come?!?)

Yeah, cheers guys, I'm looking forward to it.
To be honest, I usually play 'Enola Gay' and 'She sells sanctuary' so it's nice to have something like 'Lil' Devil' requested.
