How many sticky threads does the forum need would it not be wise to have a sectioin for sticky threads after they have been there for a while??? Just a possible good suggestion?

A section purely for sticky threads? Then no-one would go into said section, rendering the idea useless. The whole point in a sticky thread is for it to be pinned there for everyone to see, in the relevant section.

I must admit I've noticed there seem to be a lot more sticky threads lately.
There are 5 in the mobile disco forum, which must be the most since I've been a member.
The problem is that if you have too many sticky threads, they lose their impact.

I have serious admiration for Badger...
...as he's posted a thread that's considered so useful & important by the powers that be, that it's been turned into a sticky!
This is a feat achieved by only a select few on this forum.
Nuff respect to the Badger!
:D :D :D

This thread deserves to be a sticky, so that everyone is reminded that there will be no sticky sub-section, and therefore no new threads suggesting that such a sub-section should be created :)

Da m n put my sticky foot in it now, may I suggest that certain stickys are deleted at a respectful time allowance of Site owners discression then. Or a limit to the amount of stickys at any one time? If nothing its making the site look a bit messy???
Buy all means sticky this if you wish but remove some of the older ones???

They are deleted at the owners discretion. i.e, when they're good and ready, or they feel the stick's are no longer relevant.
However, suggestion noted...(then discarded rather quickly)
I'm curious, why does it matter so much to you anyway?. Just scroll down to the topics that are of interest to you. :)

Would be better if stickys were not top of the page thats all as it distracts from the current new topics?? which stickys are not always anymore, maybe they could reside down the bottom of the page after a week or so???
Scrolling down maybe seen as an easy option but people soon get bored and annoyed by it distracting them from looking further down, old website building info; the less they have to move the sooner they are reading and not going else where surfing web wise?
Bother now Im stickyed LOL

If you visit the forums regularly, I find it's easier to use the aptly named 'new posts' link on the horizontal menu bar at the top :)

So Beerfunk...what comes up if you click on the "new posts" link then?
I wanted to put the sarcastic smiley here, but it's been deleted by the powers that be for some reason.

When we were in the pub last week, he mentioned that he can't afford to take early retirement...as he has a family of thousands of other smileys to support!

4 and a bit hours and I'm spent. I've had an hour of continuous hiccups followed by 10 minutes of continuous vomiting...I don't think I've ever drunk so much in a 4 hour period before...ever.
I feel great now though, Round two.
