Benefits of joining NADJ

OK, seriously thinking about joining NADJ as my PLI needs renewing soon and for £110 including £10 million seems pretty good.

Apart from PLI what other benefits are there (answers preferably from NADJ or ex-NADJ members) :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the PLI cover isn't included free. Isn't it an additional £100 on top of your £110 annual fee?.

I was wondering about that.

£110 for membership AND £10 million PLI seems wrong to me.

I'm basing this on my own free-standing PLI, which is £120 a year for only £5 million cover!

If I can start paying £10 less a year for DOUBLE the cover AND also get free NADJ membership, then I'll definately be going for it!

No, membership is £60 and PLI is on top of that. I think it's about £110 per year, but it depends when you buy it. The policy starts at the same time for everyone, so if you buy in the last 3 months, it will cost you less money as you only have 3 months cover to pay for.

There's some discrepancies on the website. In one section it reads as if the PLI will incur an additional fee, yet on the home page it reads as if the £110 will include the PLI cover. If that's correct it seems a good deal.

...as Daz says, it runs from 1st August to 31st July (I didn't see that earlier. Still not a bad price if the benfits are worth it.

Yeah, not bad is it, and in this ever-increasingly expensive and sue-happy world we live in, 2 or 5 million doesn't seem that much anymore. :)

And if you change your business banking to Abbey you can afford the upgrade and STILL have £140 change :D

Where are all these extra tenners coming from?

Membership is £50 + £10 admin fee = £60. The admin fee only applies for the first year.

PLI is £100 for 12 months, £75 for 6 months, or £50 for 3 months. As we're into the last three months, combined membership is £50 + £60 = £110.

Hope that clears it up.

By the time you've got pro mobile for free (normally £12) then saved 10% on a few DMC Cds / Dvds, a few quid on CDs/DVDs/Games from CD-Wow, got cheaper car, gear, travel, home or health insurance, saved 10% on AA (25% if you're not already with them), saved 15% on a new suit from Moss Bros, got free entry to the AGM/Tradeshow, you've already saved your membership fee.

And then there's there are all the less tangible benefits like local meetings (there's been a couple in Leeds recently), the backing of a national association, the listing on the NADJ website, the use of NADJ logos on your paperwork etc.
