Advice need on DMX controllers

I’ve finally got round to manually controlling my scanners with a basic DMX controller; recently I have been using them to give me a spot for a disco ball.

What I would like to do is manually control them for slow songs and then put them on an automatic sound to light.
I can programme the controller to do various scenes but I will like a fully automatic option.

Does anyone if there is a product that can do this?

Urm.
You can get a controller that you set up the scenes on.. and you say whats what and can go from scene to scene manually, to music or on "auto" mode which is the the time frame of beat that you put into the controller.However this "auto" mode still uses your scenes.. so if you wanted the inbuilt shows it would be a case of changing the addressing on each unit so it went into stand alone mode.

To want to do both is getting too complicated imho.
The best option if you want to use control is to programme scenes and then put the beat into it and let it run through that bank of 8 scenes to the beat.

Depending on the light units, sometimes it's possible to have them revert to a built-in StL program by disconnecting from the desk.

For example, I sometimes use a couple of Stairville moving heads to light a mirrorball outwith my normal show. I use the desk manually to position them, "remember" the positions, then black them out. Once I've done with the mirrorball bit (usually a first dance or a series of slowies) I just switch off the power to the desk and the lights go into their built-in StL activated show.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately my scanners aren’t that good!
I am currently using 4 Soundlab colour scans with the DMX controller that came with the kit.
The only other way I could do it is to “extend” the dipswitches so I can remotely set the master back to standalone!
It sounds a bit crude but the unit is over 6 years old so it’s well out of its warranty.
