Hi All,
Is anyone using a pair of Wharfedale LX215's?
I am interested in buying a new pair for around £500.00, but there are a lot of 'quality' (not skytec etc.) speakers in this price range with 2x15" drivers (Tapco Series 69 Dual 15" look nice too).
I am interested in adding these to my current rig for an overall boost (Top, mid and low end) I will be driving them from my KXR2000.
Anyone got any good reviews?
Regards,
Keith.

Speak to these lads, I'm using the old series which are excellent. If yo getb the CD215SP's they are superb, £300 per pair, should go a treat with thjat amp, I've got a 1500.

These look very simlar to Kam Extreme 215's...
Is the Clas-D stuff any good? It seems quite cheap..
If a pair costs £300.00 Including VAT I get a little suspicious about the quality..
This would be the breakdown:
£300.00 - 17.5% = £247.5
Divides by two for 2 speakers = £123.75 Per speaker..
The manufacture will make 50% so this comes down to £61.87 per speaker
So total costs involved manufactuiing
Cabinet
Grill
Handles
Crossover
2x15
tweeter
Connectors
Labour
Carpet
Marketing
e.t.c All for £61.87 per cabibnet, I would suspect the drivers to not be the best quality at that kind of build cost.. especailly from a smaller manufacture..
Wharfedale are a bigger company have a good reputation and larger scale manufacturing facilities, so I am thinking that I would get better quality speakers from them..

Don't. I'm not promoting them any more, because they haven't given me any freebies.http://planetsmilies.net/vicious-smiley-1765.gif (http://planetsmilies.net)
They are very good for the money though.

The ones like that which I'm using cost £120 per pair, so I don't expect you to be impressed ( unless of course you hear them;) )

Steve's got no chance, he's only using the "Budget " range! To qualify for priveleged customer status, you have to buy the more expensive ones. :D
