Help!

Following on from certain threads, I now find that when I (if ever I manage it! ) go fully digital , no punter will ever employ me, The laptop and Cortex see different things on the same drive, and the Day job has me booked in on three separate jobs simultaneously next week! :eek: If I hadn't just come home from a mate's BBQ where I had done some serious damage to a couple of 750ml Leffe's, I could be very worried. ;) :D

Edit: Could be worse, at least I'm not an Ipod DJ!:p

Judging from your posts about things you don't understand and various problems you've encountered, it seems like you'd have had less problems if you HAD become an ipod DJ.

I've had no problems at all ripping my music, transferring it to my ipods, creating a library or playing it out on the D2...and I must be one of the LEAST technical people on this forum!

the cortex doesnt always pic up the tabs correctly - it sgetting better with each update. personally io ignore the cortex database and use mp3 collector onan old laptop as database - at least then i know its there and just gotta find it - either just artist or the song title pick it up.

Also have noticed that if i rip a cd then not an issue but if i download a legal mp3 this is were the problems occur

Heres some advice from the oldest Cortex user ( no not my age silly )

Use this as a playout system--

Cortex plus Seagate Hard drive assigned to the Cortex

Lap top using PCDJ red plus another HD assigned to the Laptop

OR the Ultimate (which I have of course)

Two Cortex plus two Seagates--useable by either Cortex:D :D :D

Cortex is currently offered at a steal price:rolleyes:

Thats perhaps because they use apostrophes and slashes -see below

As I said to Peter ( Excalibur) it doesnt like apostrophes:(

Thats the only problem I have had ( if you can call it that)

As in O'Jays or forward slash AC/DC etc. I have no doubt other readers can see these ( before we get the Denon /D2 mob started:D ) --but I have to say its not been a problem.

The Cortex is assigning ( some, ie a few, probably twenty out of 7,000 )different tracks compared to the laptop, as far as I can see. :confused:

NO tracks stopping
NO problems
