Two gigs in one night in different venues, one after the other that is :p Only agreed to do it so I could take tomorrow off (Eurovision... yes I'm a serious addict) and still get wedged up.
Left home at 2:30 for a 4pm - 6:30pm kids party, then everything back in the van, quick whizz across town, set up again for an engagement starting at 8 until midnight.
Both excellent gigs, played Ting Tings LOADS, got the wedding booking from the engagement.
We had a kids - versus - adults dance-off with all the party action songs. It was extremely funny and got the whole room involved. First we'd do a kids action song (CCS, Macarena, 5678 etc.) then an adults 70's action song (Timewarp, Wig Wam Bam, YMCA etc.) and this went on for about an hour - I was scraping the barrel at the end of it looking for party songs, even to the extent of playing stuff like One Step Beyond and I'm Too Sexy :D
Anyway, time for a bacon buttie, bottle of beer and a shower :cool:
