My van is useless!

Yesterday I was using my van all day....going to garden centre etc and all was good.
Got home from garden centre and pressed the button on the key fob to open the back door (no handle or lock, just button on key fob and button in cab)...nothing...not even a clicking sound.
Long and short of it...I couldn't get the bloomin rear doors open! ARRGGGHHH I have a disco...a wedding...tonight...in 3 hours!
So I panic...I phone a few people...they don't know anything...so last resort...I have to clear the car out of baby seat and junk and attempt to fit all my gear in that (ford focus 06 plate).
I'd borrowed a S&H Booth for the evening as well, so I thought I definately want to fit that in...so that went in first (and quite easily I might add)...so anyway...in the end, fitted the following in a focus.

4U ABS case
Kam CD19 sliding laptop mixer case
2 Mackie 450s
2 speaker stands
Ultimax Micromax stand
2 Impossilbed and 2 LED par cans pre wired on the top bar
4 boxes containing leads, nebula laser etc
S&H Booth
2 Laptops
1 18" monitor
1 Projecter

I'll get some pics today...it all fit in and I was surprised that the overhead bar went in fully rigged up!

so I drive to the venue...all happy with myself...get there and the manager seems a nice bloke, shows me to where I'm going to set up....and lo and behold...all the lights and dj booth are there already...I only need mixer, laptop and speakers!

Hows your luck!

So good times - because setup was a breeze
Bad times - I loaded the car for nothing (and probably used about £10000000 worth of fuel with fuel prices being what they are now)

At least I know I can use the car if need be!

How bizzare, I had to put my kit in my Focus yesterday!

I was doing a lunchtime gig at the local Police Club & noticed when loading that my van had a suspect tyre, bit near the mark?? Thought it prudent not to chance it! :D

Like you said it's good to know it can be done if needed. No bass bins though! :(

Just noticed that OTS logging now includes all the songs I CUE and don't play! GREAT...NOT!

stick your key in the ignition of van, shut the doors, turn key once, then press your key fob button. That should reset your key fob, i had to do it on my vectra, cant promise it will work, but always does with my car.

otherwise it would cost £20 to get it reprogrammed - basically they do the same .
