what would you say is better tri truss or the ladder

i am thinking of getting a new lighting truss at the moment i have the prolight tri winch system. have been looking at this http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_traversen_starter_bundle.htm
or if anyone has any other recomendations
i like the ultimax winch deck stand also the mobiletech winch system but carnt make up my mind

Hi I was looking at this also, looks very good, we have one of the stands and the only complaint we would have is the legs are spread out quiet far. But if you are using it with a thruss you will need the leg width for stability.. just go for it, any Thomann stands we use are very good.

I have used both tri and bi truss. I find that tri truss is more sturdy and can take more of a knock. The Bi truss looks good and has the advantage of takes less space in the van or car.
If you have the room go for tri truss. If you need more space in the van buy the bi truss.

The Ultimax winch stand is very good and has the advantage of no tripod legs on the floor. It can also be added to and they hold a big stock of spare parts too.

i do like the look of the ultimax but can anyone tell me what the overhead load limit is some sites say 50kg some say 80kg.
do you think it would hold and not be two cramped my 4 irock 5s hids and 2 irock 5b hid plus a laser and a firecracker strobe

I just bought 1.2m stand with bi truss. truss is 2.5m long
although I understand a 3m is available. Try laying down your effects side by side evenly spaced out or measure each effect this should give an idea if the will fit.weight wise check manufacture specs.
