50th????

Hi, was just looking for some ideas for my dads 50th(Sept).......

He is going to tenerife for his birthday with my other family members but i cant go due to being on placement so wanted to do something for him coming home.....I have spoken to most of my family about the idea of a surprise party but everone thinks he wont like it......

My aunt suggested having something in the house for him coming home on the saturday but i think he will be too worried about his carpet getting dirty....

I have looked at a couple of pictures some of you have posted from marquees and was thinking i could have done something along those lines for him or maybe a gezebo???? He has decking and quite a large back garden so i think it would facilitate quite a large gazebo.....does anyone know best place to get them or even hire them????

Gazebos - I know places such as Argos and B&Q all sell them in various sizes and therefore prices. Argos ones start at £10...

Hmmmmm......just checkd prices for argos ones.....for larger ones they are quite expensive and even at that not really that big.....will have a look around

If you've tried Argos, don't bother searching Homebase as they're under the same group and sell the same outdoor living range.

That's just it....they think....not saying you don't know your family :) ....but surpise parties are good.......I had a 40th like that....great night....even though i didn't want it.....:)

I know and your proabably right but i wouldnt even have a clue who to invite either as he has parted from loads of his friends so he doesnt have many :Laugh: :Laugh:

My dad bought a gazeboo.....hexagon shape. Think its 4ft x 3ft so going to setup small music system and a buffet.....lets hope its nice weather....theres not much chance of that down here though
