I've just ordered this (http://www.thomann.de/gb/prod_cbundle_110.html?gk=ligg56&cbcid=657&art=77861) bundle with the Stairville DDC-6 DMX controller and was just wondering what kind of controller this is and what are it's capabilities (I know it's very basic before you all start).

I'm pretty sure it'll colour change the LED PAR's but my main question is, will I be able to control my ImpossibLED as well?

If not, I may have to invest in a CA-8 :( more money

Depends how many channels the Impossibled is. This looks like it will only handle 8 channels.
Either way I would say you will stuggled for both a number of LED Par's and an impossibled. I don't know the controller but looks more like one for generics really.

OK, I thought so. I'll order a CA-8 now then.

It will colour change my new LED PAR56's though, won't it?

It is hard to say.
If it is what I think it is - only an 8 channel unit - it will only do 2 (if they were 4 chn).. unless they were all addressed exactly the same.

It will only control 6 channels

No. That is wrong.

I have just had another look and I think it is two pages worth of Channels.
So it is 8 x 2... which is 16 chn.

I think the link is wrong - sorry - it is only a 6 channel controller but all I want to do is have them all the same anyway, i.e. all blue, red, whatever...

If you want them all the same... i.e so they are addressed all as 1 or something.. then you will be fine as long as they are not over 6 channels each.

Well, they arrived yesterday and yes, it does colour change my LED PAR's. Just waiting for my IEC plugs to arrive now!!! Thomann is ok but it's all 2 pin power stuff. I'll have to get an adaptor plug for the controller as it has a transformer built in. It can run off a battery (came with one already in - which was nice) but I'm not sure how long it'll last.

Overall, tho - I'm very impressed (shame the wife can't get as excited about lights as I can, lol)
