I have one and wish I got the HD2500 now....for backup purposes so I could get rid of my backup laptop!

I don't have one but I would really like one. It's a shame I don't trust computers or laptops enough no more in a live situation.

But you use a HD2500 and CD players?

LoL

I'm the same, I don't trust laptops for live playout, but after seeing James's 00DJ, I want to use one for vj'ing.

I know. I was going to get this in the first place but I thought blow it and buy the HD2500 instead, and i'm glad i did.

I guess it's because i'm still faffing about with backup but thats somthing else.

I just liked the video for the HC4500 midi controller with the reflex software. Anyway, moving on. lol

The HD2500 can do just about everything the HC4500 can anyway, as I understand it. I haven't fully researched that, so someone can either prove me right or wrong! ;)

It can.. but its twice the price.. and can't go direct from MIDI to Hard Drive/Cd control without a reset anyway!.

And it doesn't have dual screens for people used to CD decks & other hardware controllers like the DMC1/DAC2/DAC3.

The HD2500 doesn't have native support for a lot of software as yet, has a smaller screen and only one, compared to the larger dual screens on the HC4500. And the 2500 has a built in hard drive.

I have one and have had it for 9 months....... however have been waiting and waiting for the release for Reflex which came out last Friday. Have it now all installed and tracks now imported and will be giving it a try live for the first time on Saturday. Have a wedding reception starting at 7.30 and I have access from 12 so plenty of hours play time giving it a try.

Initial impression of the full version of Reflex tho does look good.

Will keep you posted how it goes
