I have been making in-roads on the UK Now series for my collection and just received in the post a rather good score, I think, from an eBay seller:

23, 24, 25, 26, 34, 38, 39, 41, 44, 51, 52, 56 & 60

All in very good to mint condition for less than 40 quid delivered!

I've picked up numerous others at various charity shops and boot sales, too at anywhere between one and three quid each.

That's a great deal, Al...nice one!

The other place you can pick them up very cheap is car boot sales.

I have all the NOW collections going back to NOW 30 I think, and was thinking of going back further courtesy of ebay, but haven't got round to it yet.

Thus far from the charity shops and boot sales I also have 32, 35, 40, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49... coming along nicely :D

I have to say the tracklisting for Now 23 is brilliant.

Sorry Al, I read the bit about how you got some of them from charity shops, but completely missed the bit about boot sales.

Doh!

Give me another hour to wake up!

Must admit, I did wonder if they were copies or something, hence my use of the phrase "they APPEAR to be available"

They are.

1 -4 were vinyl only. & I believe the first CD issue was a combination of 5 & 6 (although don't quote me on that) I also believe that Now 10 was the first one to contain the same track list on both CD & vinyl (without ommisions)

A dirty great stinking decomposing rat...

Now 1-3 were never released on CD.... Now 4 was a limited prototype with a few less tracks than the vinyl, same for Now 8 and it wasn't until Now 10 before you got the option!! There was a 'Now 86' being a compilation of Nows 5, 6 & 7.

I've made my own "Now 1-10" before with rips from other discs and infills with downloads just to keep the set complete but methinks this guy is pulling a fast one...

I thought the first few were only available on vinyl.

Just goes to show, if something SEEMS too good to be true.....

Its not a con, they are the US now albums.. totally different and only started in the late 90s (possibly later) I think.

I didn't look at the link, I just know the early UK Nows weren't on CD.

Danno, if they ARE the US Now albums, then I'd say it IS a con, as the advert says nothing about them being the US albums...which are totally different to the UK version.

If the ad doesn't say anything, most people would take it that they would be the UK version, so at best the ad is VERY misleading.

Although I don't have all the Discs, I do have a complete list of tracks from 1-69 in Excel format (sortable ;) )
If anyone wants a copy just drop me a pm or email and I'll gladly send one.

I still don't understand why people covet these CDs so much.

Tools of the trade to me.

Couldn't the same be said about equipment?

For is it not written:
"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours Denon, neither his Starcloth Booth nor his collection of Compilation Albums, for it is an abomination to so do" ??

;) :D :D :D

I've got 21-69, minus 22 and 26 (really should pick them up to fill in the gaps). I doubt I'll ever go further back, because I have the 80s covered with another 50 million compilations!

My personal favourite is Now... 30, as 1995 was a tremendous year for dance!

On it :

Nicki French - Total Eclipse Of The Heart
East 17 - Stay Another Day
Scarlet - Independent Love Song
Boyzone - Love Me For A Reason (:o)
Oasis - Whatever
The Boo Radleys - Wake Up Boo!
Freak Power - Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out
Tin Tin Out - Always Something There To Remind Me
Strike - U Sure Do
Bobby Brown - Two Can Play At That Game
Shut Up And Dance - Save It 'Til The Mourning After
Alex Party - Don't Give Me Your Life
Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On
Real McCoy - Run Away
Kenny Dope Pres. The Bucketheads - The Bomb (These Sounds..)
N-Trance - Set You Free
Outhere Brothers - Don't Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)
Perfecto Allstarz - Reach Up (Papa's Got A Brand New..)
Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe

And many, many more! (Although, they are the highlights)

In recent years, I reckon 57, 62 and 65 aren't too bad either.
