if i get one dynatwin, will it work sound-to-light, with a CA-8 or dmx, ie can i plug it in and just let it go, or does it require external control.

Nope, it doesn't require external control. It'll work perfectly through the pre-programmed sequences. The CA-8 controller will give you extra control.

i thought so

i have bought one today and it is changing through the gobos fine but the mirrors are not moving.

when the unit powers on the mirrors move and re-set themselves to the central position, but after that nothing! they just it there

yeah the gobos are changing to the music

Turn the music up or tap near the mic on the back of the unit. I think there's a sensitivity knob too - turn that up.

Failing that, you might have to change the dip switch settings.

Its probaly to quiet because they just go throught the GOBO's when no instructions sent.

think its ok now, turned the sensitivity up, works when i tap the unit, its a bit late for loud music the neighbours might complain!!
