My MD's going to stop smoking so.....i've said she can have a new car.
She only does 10 miles a week... ...yes 10 miles.
So she is after a small runaround to see her through......only after spending 7 or 8k.....

Not really clued up on car's only need them too go from 'A to B'.
Tax and fuel need to be good as well as insurance....

Your thoughts please.

Oh....no boy racer cars....i'm a bit old for that....:D

Thanks.

Smart car?

That came to mind first aswell.

My wife has her Yaris for sale Tony....

The Yaris is a great little car. My other half has one and she loves the little thing. It's only a 1L so small engine and would be cheap to insure and run aswell.

Previous two cars in this household were a VW Polo 02 plate which had serious issues with the suspension at 60k miles. Appalling dealerships in Chester, Stafford and here on the IoW treated you as the scummiest of the scum because you saw fit to drag your cheapest of the cheap car into their forecourt. And a VW Bora 52 plate bought new and fully dealer serviced on which the flywheel disintegrated at speed almost killing Mrs VV and VV Jr when shrapnel (sp?) flew out of the bonnet taking out the gearbox and some of the electrics. 48k miles on the clock, and being 3 months out of warranty got sod all help from VW on a £5k repair bill

:attn: Never again will I darken the door of a VW dealership :attn:

Currently running a Fiat Barchetta 54 plate since new and I'd replace it with another in a heartbeat if they were still making them  but that's no good for you as it's only got 2 seats. Mrs VV is running a Mistubishi Colt CZ2 on a 54 plate and for the money it is a fantastic car. They are deceptively big - from the outside they look like any other supermini (although a little taller) - in fact I liken it to an Audi A4 on looks - but once you get inside it's like driving a large saloon. Plenty of space in the back, too, although the boot could be a tad larger.

So that's my two penn'orth.

Yaris ok,

check out honda (Civic/jazz), or VW (polo) too.

A ford Street KA will impress her (convertible) without costing much.

Don't buy new they small cars new are rip offs!

Do you or MD realise how much each mile driven is costing if you buy new £8K car and only do 500 miles? Back of a fag packet calculation come out at over £4 a mile in the first year and about £2.50-3.00 thereafter.

Was going to say my car is now for sale as I picked up my new car today. YAY. lol

If you was being serious then have some front speakers fitted first. Think it as when you see a band, the sound is inront of you, not behind you.

If you need any help just pm me. :) (thats if you were being serious, lol)

The original Micra was probably the worst car I've ever had the misfortune to drive. Dear boring, slow and ugly. At least the newer models look more enticing.
