Downloaded some tunes off iTunes the other day, put them onto a CD....played them in the car and noticed a popping / cracking sound...
Bit like the old plastic stuff.....
Any clues....
Poor disc?

Sounds to me like you may have burnt them on to your cd too fast.
Some times I get this when I’m burning the cd and my computers busy doing other jobs.
If the tunes you have downloaded sound fine then I would just copy another.

There was a bug with some versions of nero that did this a while ago it was down to a corrupt file in the install.
Don't know what you used to burn the cd but thought i would share that bit of info with you :)

I don't believe it, That's the program I've always used and was told it was the Drive and not the program.
Ah, saying that I have ripped mine using Creative and still got crackles.
How do you digital DJ's get on as I have about 10,000 tracks and just purchased another 25 albums on rock n roll, so there is no way after ripping I can sit and listen to every individual track to make sure it’s ripped ok.:(
This is the only main reason I have not gone digital yet (QUALITY) :)
