Brilliant start to Friday the 13th! Walk into my office where my gear is kept as we use it for various other things as well to find that we had been broken into!

Very strange through how they only took the amplifer and cd player (30kg) but left the mixer which was next to it.

Police have told us that they wouldn't expect to find it, amp only 6 months old and cd player only a month old!

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Hope they find the thief and they get whats coming to them! I'm sure you'll get the money back from insurance to cover any loss and damages. just hope it doesnt affect any bookings you have lined up for this weekend.

I have a disco in 2 weeks! and another 2 weeks later, we'll just have to buy another cd player as the money will never come through that quick.

This seems to be happening more and more and it really makes me sick.

I hope they recover something or the insurance pays out for you.

Got the serial numbers?

Go to your local Cash Converter and see the manager. He can get them sent to all branches in minutes on the computer link. One less place for the cheeky :Censored: to dispose of the kit.

I spoke to someone at cash converters this morning who sounded about 15 and obviously didn't register what I was saying to her!

My phone call went a little like this......

"Hello, I had an amplifer and cd player stolen and I just wanted to know if someone has tried to bring them into you....."

Girl in shop

"Errrrrrr, don't think so, phone back later, someone might have brought it in then"

:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

Good thing is, is that we are really friendly with the local police/PCSO's so they have already been to all the local Cash Converters/Cash Marts etc! It pays to be nice!

sorry to hear about this, what gets me is people steal a 300 quid Denon cd player and then they sell it for 50 just so they can get a quick fix somewhere.

It makes me so angry when I hear stuff like this happening. It's totally disgusting and the worse thing is that if we actually caught someone in the act and did what I think we all would do if someone was attempting to nick our equipment, well....we'd be in the wrong wouldn't we.
