Hello if their anywhere i could get some wedge speaker plans from, I know their is a certain person on here to makes speakers but i dont know who he is, would he like to come forward, I saw wedge speakers mounted on a local bars periment lighting rig the other night, so i want to steal the idea and have 2 small 8" wedge speakers mounted on my lighting rig, for when i do bigger functions like weddings ect, damian

good thinking, i got some plans off one of their members afew years back for a sub, i didnt realize they had a forum,am off to give it a whirl, what size you reckon i should go for 8inch or 10inch, damian

8 or 10 inch?

It really depends on what you are going to be using with them, if they will be in addition to the rest of your rig then 8" will be fine as they will only have to act as Satalite Mid-Hi speakers.

If you use something like an Eminence 8" (http://www.bluearan.co.uk/menu/index.php?id=EMIBETA8A) + something like an APT Horn (http://www.bluearan.co.uk/menu/index.php?id=EMIAPT150&seeimage=YES&img_name=apt150). Use a high pass filter on the low end (8") at about 150hz and cross the Horn at about 3.5khz.....should sound great!

Use a quality 10 inch if you are going to use them on their own (although I'd still be tempted to add a sub) but you can cross the 10" cabs a bit lower than the 8", at about 60 - 70hz.

yes thats correct, i want to use them as an extra addtion for bigging venues, saves having loads of speaker stands ect ect
