Or we could have the debate here? I'm not surprised at these findings, the general public just don't seem all that bothered about music copyright.

I don't think the general public see it as stealing, that's part of the problem.

I think to be honest the average hard working joe member of the british public feels so robbed let down hard done to and generally skanked in every way possible by the heirarchy of the british government that any way they can steal something back in any way possible is seen as fair game , its difficult to have this debate without getting into political arguments which are prohibited so i will not further that point.

the other is that the moral stance of the british public is sliding slowly towards the depths of hades with little or no respect for anyone or anything ....... now whos fault could that be??? ssshhhhhhh.


but .... the basic fact is if we werent ripped off sooo much as a nation for just about everything people may start to

a. comply more with the laws of the land
b. give 2 monkeys about other people and their possessions thoughts and well being.

sorry if this post contavines forum rules but it is my honest reply to the problem feel free to delete if it is a bit close to the bone admin or you feel it may bring about a whole debate angled in a way that is not allowed i will not be offended.

So does anyone have the bottle too say they downloaded tracks...

I for one download from time to time normally new artists that i have been told about and never heard but have never used on gigs..

I use it more for the let me have a listen like in the early 60s you could get to listen to a artist in a booth and then decide if you like it(Not that im old enough)

If is good enough i go and buy from my local supplier normally on video if possible.

Then get rid of the downloaded media

Music pays so its well worth buying.....but im not buy buying rubbish just because of someones say so...

Why would you need to go to an illegal site for that? Nearly all legal download sites have the facility to pre-listen to tracks.

I don't think that's a reason to encourage illegal downloading and stealing music.
