Mine would be clients and guests reviews at the end of the night. When everyone comes upto you and shakes your hand, talks to you, asks for cards, prices. Tells you how good they have enjoyed the night.

I just hate the times when you finish the music say good night and everything and everyone ignores you and just goes home without saying anything. Makes me think "was it really as good as i thought".

Totally agree with Spud on this one. Seeing people enjoying themselves is one thing but it's even better when they come up and tell you just how much they've enjoyed it, shake your hand and ask for a business card. Makes it all worthwhile!

Cynic! :p There is no one thing, I started cos I enjoyed playing the music, and with some modern exceptions, I still do. There is absolutely nothing legal which gives you such a buzz as a crowd genuinely praising you for a good gig. It keeps you going through the next three nightmares. And yes, the money is definitely a nice bonus. :D :D

Covering for the regular resident DJ at a local venue and being told by the staff that I was far better and how much more they had enjoyed hearing up to date tunes instead of total 'cheese' and guests also showing their gratitude by hand shakes and asking for my card.
