Hi Guys,

does anyone know whats happened to Sound Control the music/ pa group of shops?

Reason i'm asking is that i got a pair of Mackie C200's off them a while back, one of them turned out to be faulty so was sent back and a replacement received under warranty but when the new one arrived it was badly damaged and again had to be returned.

They gave me a pair of Wharfdale Titan 12's as a loan replacement while we waited for the new Mackie.

Over the weekend I stumbled across something on the net that said they've gone into liquidation :eek:

I've tried calling the Derby shop a couple of times this week with no answer eachtime :(

So the question is have I now got a pair of Wharfdales added to the armoury?

And does anyone have a single / or know where I can get one from to make up the pair?

Managed to speak to the Sheffield branch which is now under the name "Reverb"

Explained the situation to them and they said that they are a totally new company and what happened at Soundcontrol is now in the hands of Deliotte who are the administrators.

So I know what i'm going to do now ;)

Probably keep your mouth shut, just think you could be left with only one Mackie if they hadn't given you the Titans, good speaker BTW, very loud! A bit silver though arn't they? :)

They probably had no credit left with Mackie so had to give you the Wharfdales!

i would say nothing you never know you might come across another mackie speaker then you would have 4 speakers
