Me? I was a single dad for 8 years.

I did the highest bungee jump in Scotland (around 300ft or 91m) - twice :D

At the time, anyway.....there's probably been a higher one done since as it was about 15 years ago!

The only one I've done in NZ is the Taupo Bungy, only 47m but you get a water touch :)

In online gaming I've played in teams for Scotland (vs England), The UK (vs Germany) and Europe (vs the USA)....and I can't even remember if we won :confused:

The game was the original Delta Force....about 10 years ago.

I was also ranked #1 individual player in the World (at one point) for a small Half-Life Mod called Day of Defeat :o

No, fraid not and depending who you listen to it's either because a "Dragon" sat on it or the more plausable the timber dried out and twisted :D

About 15 years ago, I was on a dating show called "Love at first sight" on Sky 1, which was presented by Bruno Brookes.

Unfortunately, the show I appeared on was never broadcast, as one of the female contestants had a boyfriend, who found out about her appearance & threatened to do something she'd regret if her show was ever broadcast.

Needless to say, Sky pulled that particular show.

Still, I had a great time & got a night in a nice hotel in Manchester out of it.

At age 16 I placed 13th at the NZ Scrabble Masters.

I briefly (and jointly) held the NZ record for the highest scoring word (230). That game was the highest scoring for a while, too, as my opponent and my joint score was 1100 or so!


On the DJing front I've DJed on stage with (well, following) Tim Finn (Split Enz/Crowded House).

Musically, but not DJing-wise, I've met Glenn Danzig.

I have a rare medical condition where I can occasionally wake up paralysed from the neck down. With the correct medical treatment mobility can be restored, but each "attack" deteriorates my muscles, and causes permanent damage to them. Luckily the attacks are rare, it's only happened full blown 'once', but it can happen at any time apparently.

I milked a cow on the stage of the London Palladium when I was 12. :D

Well, it wasn't a real one. My uncles were acrobats and I spent a lot of time backstage with them. I was standing in the wings when a comedy duo, Albert & Les Ward, were on and part of the act involved milking a cardboard cow. Les suddenly ran off, grabbed me and made me milk the cow. The audience laughed so much, it became part of the act.

And the uncles in question were in the film The Colditz Story. They were the two PoWs who somersaulted over the barbed wire fence to escape.

Today I counted the mp3 files on my gigging hard disk... and it contains 4,799 unique tracks. Then I worked out how many tracks I add on average each month - 20. So looks like the 5,000 count year 1 licence will just about do the trick ;)
