i know there an old school kind of light i was just wondering if any one still uses the gladiator revolutions

are they worth the money, or are they just a waist of time.

I would check first to see if they have any in stock - they are quite old and I'm not sure if they still make them either.

I have one still, not particularly bright (or light - as in weight) compared to many of the new barrel scans..certainly nothing special. That said, solid and reliable enough.

Yeah.....but as I said, I don't think they make them anymore.

They are great for the size of them, the weight is not too bad either,
I would look at them as i know that they still make them. Also the great thing with the Extreme DJ XP range is you don't have to set and dip switches to dmx them you just link them together and off they go.

I still have a pair of them in regular use. I have never had any problems with them. They are good solid lights with all metal housing. Just keep them clean and they should last for years. You can also still buy spares for them, so it they do go wrong, they can be repaired.

They do a 100w and a 250w version. I had both, but now only have the 100w version. This is because it is less likely to blind people when it's doing it's thing.

Ebay can be a good place to find them, and try and get the Adda cases for them if you can. Makes life a lot easier.

I still use my Gladiator Rev 250's regularly.
As long as you look after them and keep them clean they are a fantastic bit of kit (apart from the ridiculously short bulb life), and are really well made.
Personally i think the 250w versions are bright, and look the part linked as a pair in a room using smoke/haze.
As with any Abstract DMX gear, it always seems to hold its price in the second hand market (in good condition), so makes a decent investment imo.
