Dave, fair play to you for asking for help matey, however in the meantime until you get some proper mobile disco experience, I would seriously think about changing two of the statements made on your website, otherwise you are likely to shoot yourself in the foot and get into situations completely out of your depth, which is not a nice place to be.

Your better off to start as a roady and help another dj set up and pack up. You may also be able to dj aswell. Im more than willing to let you come down and help me on a gig (Southampton) as i often get bored on my own anyway.

If you already have experience then it wont take long. The trick of mobile DJing is setting everything up safely, quickly and professionally. As you know the most important thing is choosing the right songs at the right time which will take long.

a wedding for example will be completely different (and 10 times more difficult) than a 60th birthday as you will have all sorts wanting different music.

I did a club gig the other day in a very busy bar and i forgot how easy it was! Was a really nice change. I came in with decks, played the music i liked (and the crowd) and left with a five min packup.

Just a matter of time and the best way to learn is from others. Other than that go for it!!

i feel i do not what im doing as i having being to so many parties

but as im going right now i ent getting that many bookings for local pub's.

would be nice to go out with someone

abut 3 years ago i was doing parties for family as it will all big birthdays 18s & 21s

bavk them i was running on a old system with cheap lights..

now im running full propley with good light and good sounds system's

so thats where the stament has come from

You really need to get a spellchecker installed as your posts are becoming very difficult to read and understand.

The equipment really has no bearing on experience or how good you are.

Glad someone else noticed the post was difficult to read, I thought I'd had too much :beer1: :D

I've got a few disco's coming up, but they are family ones, and are being done for (the dreaded words) "mates rates" :D , so probably not the best ones to come out with.

I'll certainly keep you in mind though as your local (well if you don't mind travelling to Redditch).

You always seem to be contradicting yourself, I can understand if you want to learn the job that is fair enough as we all have to learn, but then saying you have been providing entertainment for years and are happy with it is contradicting yourself as you are wanting to go out and learn more to make your business better?
