after hijacking another thread asking about DJ stands - thought I'd better start a new one!

With some portable ally scaffolding a nice relative had not being used.
Some slight modification with a drill, an angle grinder and some nuts n bolts.

I can build this: ( sorry about the image size - tried to edit it in photobucket - but still comes out the same size on here? soesnt do it on our car scirocco forum as we have a bit of photo resizing script that sorts it out)

being ally its VERY light, but having been designed to be stood on - pretty strong.

It all clips together apart from 2 wing nuts - which just spin off.

Our lass has found some black cloth too, so will see about blocking the front in with that soon.

Anyway: I made a marriage between my spare Maplins goalpost crossbar, and my Ultimax single crossbar. All I needed was an angle grinder, a drill, a metre of threaded rod, and a bit of determination and desperation! :eek: :D

Why did I do this, you may ask. :confused: Because, all my clamps don't actually fit the Ultimax bar, but they do fit my Maplins. Now that I've bolted one to the other, there should be no sag in the bars, I've got a dual height possibility for mounting lights, and nearly as much width as a goalpost rig. And I didn't have to nick any scaffolding to do it! :D :D :D :D :D
