ADJ Mystic LED vs Acme Impossibled

Hey Guys & Girls,

I'm really starting to get into LED lighting! I was thinking about getting the impossibled, but now i have seen the LED Mystic, i really like it!

I prefer it over the impossibled, because it's 'different' i.e the arrangement of the LED's and i feel it has alot more movement than the impossibled, however i do know that the impossibled is a great unit.

What do you think?

I have the Eurolite version of the Mystic (forget the model number) and yes, it has more movement than the Impossibled BUT the movement is very limited in terms of the amount of floor covered AND somehow the unit doesn't seem anywhere near as bright as the Impossibled.

IMHO it's good for small dancefloors in near-dark conditions but it's lost on a big dancefloor with even a small amount of house lighting or daylight.

You'd definitely need at least two of these to equal the coverage of an Impossibled.

And the other thing I dislike about mine? It's HUGE and an awkward shape to try to get into anything other than the thin cardboard box it's supplied with.

But if your really thinking of straying from the ImpossiabLED i would try and find as many videos on line and try to see the unit in action before making your final choice.

Yeah i agree with you that different LED fixtures appeal to different people. I'd like to steer away from the LED scanners for the meantime.. although i do really like the ADJ LED RevoRoll.

I'll get a demo of the impossibled in a store when i can. New deck stand is taking priority at the minute though haha!

I'm also interested in some wash lighting, but would like to steer away from LED parcans.. ideas?

If you want to stay away from LED pars, then the batterns are very good. Prolight's version is here http://prolight.co.uk/item/ledj75 and in the GALLERY section on here, Darren's posted a photo of the ADJ version. These give more of a wash than the par's, and are easier to set up, as you'd need less.

About £129/£149ish I believe. Phase One do ADJ items, although I can only see the UV versions on his site. Might be worth giving him a call.
