Not sure what gear you're after but I'd certainly recommend PhaseOne. Vert helpful, no hard sell, PAT all equipment they sell. Fast service, Knowledgeable. And a lot of demo videos.

Theres currently a company via ebay selling a USB to DMX cable which eliminates the need for a DMX interface - ie from what i can gather you just plug straight from your laptop to your master light - and you can use free software (mentioned elsewhere on here - freestyler etc)). Cost around 50pounds, i think.
Dont know if links to ebay are banned on here?
I was going to ask if anyone had any dealings with this type of cable, as im after a controller too?

You can link as long as your not the one selling. Sounds interesting.

ok, heres the links;
i dont know much about these, but from what i can gather they will eliminate the need for an interface etc.

I've got 2 of those and 8 of the Visio ones.
Actually, I have 2 of the 56s and they are a nice effect for washing, do master and slave, dmx and s2l. What else do you need to know? :)

I take it you did not like Phase One; or what they had to offer; or the price they offered it at.
Let us kow what is your critical factor - eg. price or quality or service and we can give our opinions.
If you just want to know who's cheapest you need to get on the phone and do some haggling for yourself.
