Just a quick email to say hi, the concept of MYLOCALDJ is a company that primarily offers the usual weddings, birthdays, etc. and secondarily is a recruitment company in the entertainment world.

As it happens the site has not officially launched and we are currently restricting the areas we cover to hertfordshire, bedfordshire, and mainly the southeast of england with a desire to increase our coverage in line with the growth of the business. We are also careful not to let "just anybody" join our book without a vetting process.

And yes we will be making this clear prior to launching.

So really the site is open mainly to dj's at the moment, although bars and nihgtclubs are also using the site, and we are strating to get quite busy for the amount of dj's we have which is approx 20 in total.

Hi,

Yes we recieve booking requests and match them to dj's fitting the criteria (music, location, mic usage, min/max fee) and contact the appropriate DJ(s) for the job and on a first come first serve basis we allocate the job to a DJ assuming they are happy with the offer.

I personally have had bad experiences with agencies, so i try not to use the word.

The vetting process - we have different ways of completing the vetting process. 2 of the 3 examples below

Completion of the Artist registration form

A Demo CD and CV

Adam - am I right in assuming from the above that you are draw up a contract between a Promoter and an Artiste, as opposed issuing to "buying" and "selling" contracts?

One piece of advice---just a personal view--having a mobile phone number for contact looks really not very professional.

I never deal with businesses that use mobile numbers as the only contact--
