Hi just got a Numark Dimension 4 amp. But when I set it up and turned it on there was no power at all. Any ideas at what is wrong or shud i just send it back to the shop. I just had another look an it keeps blowing the fuses in the plug.
Thanks

Amps can take a massive current surge on power up while the power supply capacitors charge up. The capacitors at start up are a short circuit for a short period.
I made the same mistake with one of my home build amps, just picked an IEC mains lead out of a box. The 5 amp fuse blew and took out the house circuit breaker, this crashed my PC and Windows wouldnt load again !
Took me many hours to get Vista reloaded and all my info back on the PC.

And those torroidal transformers take a whack to magnetise on the first cycle...
Glad it wasn't a real problem for you. :)
