Hi to everyone on MDD,
May I take this opportunity to introduce myself. I'm Tony Wrightley and based here in sunny ole Ipswich. Tell me lads (or ladettes), am I the only one that uses a stage name ? :)
Back in the eighties when I first started out, the name 'Nicodemous' was not very 'hip' and not easily rolled off the tongue so I created 'Tony Wrightley' and built up a huge following when I was resident for nearly 4 years down the Old Kent Road (or 'DJ Alley' as it used to be known). Hence I stuck with the name all these years in my DJ life. Having said that, 'Nicodemous' I am now told is a 'cool' DJ name :) so go figure !
Anyway, I own and run a company here in Ipswich at The IP-City Centre (The United Earth Group) and base my Disco service from here as well. Had a break from the mobile disco scene for a few years but decided to get back into it this year so busy now trying to get gigs now.
