Broken scanner mirror = Bad Luck!!!

When I was packing up my gear from my last gig I managed to break a mirror on one of the scanners whilst putting it into its case. Got replacement but unfortunately the bad luck has kicked in. Just finished a teenager's party and everything that could go wrong did. Firstly the van wouldn't start so had to unload everything and try and cram it into the car. Just about managed but it made me a few minutes late that meant I was setting up at super speed. Got everything set up and realised I had no mic leads. Sent the roadie back to get them. Turned on the amp and a fuse blew. Replaced it. Turned on the lights and a bulb blew. Replaced it. Turned on the radio mic and the battery ran out mid speech, replaced it. Smoke machine wouldn't work. Worked fine yesterday, couldn't do much about that one. Oh well I suppose I've only got another 6 years and 51 weeks of this and managed to do a pretty good gig that the clients were pleased with. :bang: :bang: :bang: :mad:

The myth about broken mirrors causing bad luck goes back to the Ancient Greeks. They believed that your reflection or image was the soul and if it was destroyed then so were you. It's why Vampires don't have a reflection, they have no soul. Also why certain cultures will not allow you to take their photo.

So to get some back, and restore your luck. you'll have to play some Dusty, James Brown or Nat King Cole at your next gig. ;)

I had a problem with my twin cd player last night. The player and mixer got wet in transit. They are flightcased in a Kamkase.

my right drive i had alsorts of problems with. My cd player is a
Denon DN-D4000 So had to hook my laptop up with BPM Studio and alternate between the left drive and BPM Studio to get me through the night.
