Wheres My Caterers

At Tonights gig which was in a marquee on a farm,The catering company did not turn up.I was there first about an hour and a half before i was due to start.When speaking to the couple they said that the catering company was suppose to be here but had not showed.

Even the outside bar had still to come in and set up,they never showed untill about 30 mins before everyone arrived.

How unprofessional is this?
I later found out that the catering company had taken full payment 14 days prior to the event.

What happened next................................?

It was off to the nearest tesco for loads of barbeque stuff

It just goes to show that its just not djs that are unreliable when it comes down to bookings.

dreadful i once arrived at a venue to find the b and g in a huge argument with the caterers ................. turned out to be about 3 chickens found to be defrosting on radiators when they arrived at the venue :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

I turned up with 2 other DJ's to do a gig and the band had taken up the whole stage. We were relegated to a corner next to the stage to set up our gear. We had to leave half the gear in the van coz it wouldnt fit in.

We had a company Summer Ball in a marquee.....

Generator was supposed to be there 8am...turned up at 3pm.....so they set the generator up....then realised....no leads....:eek: :eek: :eek:

Spent the next 1.5hrs whistling....:bang:
