Schools and College Proms

Hi All.

I want to get into all the schools to do thier events, Proms other discos and things but am not sure how to advertise or get in touch with them.

I dont mean to sound big headed but i know i am capable of doing a better job than the other discos but schools just seem to book the same rubbish year in, year out. ( i Know because i ask people!)

Just wondering if anyone has got into doing this and wonderd what the most effective methods are.

I Know how you feel,I also have come accross this situation before.At present i do about 4 schools in my area.When speaking to other schools thay just say that they have always used .....................,they think that they are getting a good deal and a good price so why change.

I just statred of with one school,but since then i now have 4.The reason being,one school talks to another so if you are good they will pass your details on.

I know that its frustrating but be patient.Last year i wrote to about 25 schools telling them about my services and only got one school disco out of it.

OMG - somebody has stolen Cambridge and moved it to Hertfordshire!!

I had no sense of direction before so now I'm even more lost. :lol:

why not go around first schools and middle schools and drop a card in and say you can do an end of term disco or a youth club disco.
you must be a big company if you want to get into all the schools

i managed to get my regular residency at the school were i work, solely (i believe) because they know how good i am, what i can do and because i work there im fully CRB checked.

you need to show that from the very first 1 you do that you are good and the price they are paying you is not to expensive or too cheap. you need to find a medium but good price.

maybe dropping a few leaflets/ flyers into your local schools etc with all the relevant details on it.
