ON A FACEBOOK GROUP

you refer to the living room light as "the house lights"

you refer to you hifi as the front of house

you rackmount everything

your intire wardrobe is black (other than posibly that shirt your mother bourt you but you never where)

a plaster consists of a piece of lex tape, and cant understand when people complain that this isnt good enough

your car speakers are conected by NL4

your hifi is wired up with XLR conectors (as XLR is the only decant way to conect signal)

you go in to a night club and ignore the music, half nacked women, your friends and are more interesting in the lighting install

how good a night out is is mainly dependant on the lighting / sound rig in the club rather than anything else.

"a lader is perfectly safe so long as it has atleast 3 legs on a sofa" (and the 4th in thin air i would like to point out)

you have a computer in your kitchen! (well, we dont any more but did)

you always have atleast 2 roles of lex tape in you pocket

you see gaffa tape and or cable ties a structual repair to a building

if someone refers to working a "9-5" you presume they meen 9pm - 5am, or more likley 9am - 5am

a parcan seems a perfectaly reasonable way to heat up food

you forget what political correctiness is

you remember what political correctness is but acitvly ignore it.

when going to see your favriorut band you end up being more excited by the lights than the band

all the women you know dress like you, never where makup, and only real atempt at being feminin is there long hair... which is no more femin than yours

you carry a several spair kettle leads, xlr leads and dboards in the boot of your car - well, enough to meen what ever you forgot to prep you have one.

everything is referd to as ..."stores" or ..."servsis" (eg fridge would be food stores, microwave would be food servsis"

your TV screen is bigger than your bed

if someone menctions stealdeck you shudder

you always have a gurber, letherman or similar on you.

you nearly always have a full toolkit with you

you make cables when you want to relax

you move house using flight cases

you never go to an event unless your being paided to be there

your bbq is built out of bits of tech equipment (speaker grill makes a very good bbq grill)

your hifi is run through a mixing desk

you lable everything with amusing lables

you refer to pieces of equipment like they were people with feelings

seeing red lights on a mixing desk make you want to hit the person responcible

you see smoke comeing out of a house and your first thought is "they have a magnum"

you get irritated by people who dont know how to use a microphone

you get irritated by people who ask you to turn smoke off on stage as "it makes them choke"

you get irritated by people who complain about being cooked or dazled by the lighting on stage

you get irritated by people who wander around the room on there wirles getar pickup and try to tell you how to do your job

you get irritated by people who presume magical faries make it all happen, so moving the stage 10 min befor show time is fine

You get irritated by people who tell you the band specks after the band has gone on stage

you get irritated by people... lets be honist, you just get irritated by people

people arnt worth knowing unless they can adress lights with binary switches on them

anyone who cant lift half a stealdeck isnt worth knowing

when your house is rewired you get a 32 put in the garage

you forget that anacronims which happen to spell roud words are not always best to be used in polite company (eg MINGE - Marketing Infomation Network for Guild Entertainments)

anything that draws less than 500w is an eralvance (when talking about power anyway)

if you can see the floor in a room then it is tidy

food that can be bort from spar constitutes a fully balenced meal

you mesure how loud your hifi will go with your db meter

you want to call your children "martin" and "Perl"

you refer to people who atend a wedding as "punters" (well done heather!)

you consider 240V shocks to be an iralevent irriation and not somehting to worry about

no matter how badly you injured yourself you dont go to A+E untill the gigs finished

when someone talks about macs you presume they meen martin macs not apple macs, or waterproof macs

a van isnt overloaded unless the leaf springs are bending the wrong way - by a good couple of inches

a night of drinking automaticaly implys somehting is going to get blown up with pyros

you beat everyone in arm wrestles even though you are a "wimp"

it takes 4 difrent remote contorles to opperate your TV

how good a pair of trouses is is perortinal to the number of pockets they have

you seriously consider wireing the lights in your house so they can be controled by DMX

you can patch sound and or video from anywhere to anwyere in the house, prefrably via a central "controle" room

you can work no matter how drunk you are - infact, being drunk is a defertnat positive when doing heavy lifting or opping the worlds most boaring play

you get irritatied by a building that has stairs or steps

you can stack or destack 125kg speakers (gotter love MT2) by yourself

when you first meet someone you ask them "lampy, soundy or vidiet?"

you think that reverse coiling should be a compluslty subject at school from the age of 5, and anyone who cant do it properly needs beating untill they can!

Add to the list...

Yeah. Without going off topic the sounf from the cab is amazing. Its rather bassy for a 12" speaker. Really does kick hard.

Anyway, back on topic.
