Advice, £600 to spend on Lighting....

Alright guys,
I need abit of advice as to how to spend some cash on lighting...
My current lightshow consists of 2 x led par can 64, 2 x acme miracled, 2 x martin t-rex scanners, a front light box and the odd bits n bobs (strobe etc.)...
I have £600 to spend on some more/new lighting, i generally do bog standard discos but also often promote under 18 dance/rave and hardcore nights so would ideally like to use them there aswell, for this reason i'd like something that you are more likely to see at a night club/rave that can cover a lot of ground, so ideally some kind of led scanner would be the way i would go,
i was looking at the American DJ xMove LED Moving Heads and they look extremely impressive, any comments or experiences on these?

The ADJ X-Move's are pricey as they are brand new.

Maby 4 Acme Dynamo scanners would be better suited to your needs as they are fast mirror scanners.

Yeah/ I have 4 aswell. They are great lights and tbh can work in a any situation aswell. Great stuff.

I dont think anybody ells does Sheppey :D I stayed there a few times a few years ago in one of the pubs when I was doing some contract work at St Regis Paper Company in Kent.

this one stright up my street, under 18s TO rave/hardhouse parties, i would be looking at scanners, lasers, mirror ball, uv cannons maybe some fog, dont go for big 1000watt strobes, as they will complete flood an average function room, and maybe cause some fits or other stuff, the strobe function on the scanners and maybe a strobing led par for the mirror ball, will be just enough, for a function room in my eyes, but if your going big places like churchs like me, yes u will need acouple of big strobes, maybe 4-8 scanners, 2-4 uv cannons, 6 lasers, maybe acouple of moving heads, and some one on the dmx controller ect ect

as a post from before suggested, yes Acme Dynamo scanners would suit you best, unless you want to go into martin scanners and spend 1000s of pounds, also buy dmx controllable gear, then you will have an good set up mate, if you need any help am only a pm away. cheers

p.s give me a shout, if u got any under 18s hardhouse nights on, i would love to pull out the 90s hardhouse classics once again, for a quick spin on some legandry 1210s hehe

what are the dynamos like for bulbs?
ive heard they can expensive to replace and it can happen on a regular basis? surely led lights would solve this issue?

yes led will over come this, has some of their lights save an expected life time of 125,000hours or sumthing crazy like that, but the effect that give off are some kind what a little different to the tradtional scanners, mostly seen in clubs today, blubs can cost anything from £10 - £40, depending on what make you buy, and your thinking about buying moving heads and your worried about the cost of blubs lol, to be honest with you led lighting is aload of rubbish and wouldnt go near it, cheers

dont like the effect, it gives off, it looks pants lol, i,ll stick to proper scanners, untill they come up with sumthing better, ahh tell a lie, i might buy acouple of led moonflowers, but thats it, cheers damian

There are already led scanners and moving heads on the market that have gobos and are as bright at halogen effects.

They were demo-ing a 20w led moving head at DJSN.

Seems a little strange to dismiss all Led fixtures.
