Got my ultimax!

Hey guys,

Finally got my ultimax stand and curtain. As in a previous topic, the curtain was more or less slated, :o however i decided to go through with it.

I'm very impressed with the ultimax stand (it's sturdyness, quality etc) and the curtain does the job, but yes, could be better!

I currently have a 3m goalpost which i'm happy to use, but i was thinking about getting the lighting bar for my ultimax, do you think it's worth it?

I got the single bar with mine, which takes down into two parts. I was unhappy with the fact that my existing clamps did not fit the Ultimax ( it's smaller) and there was some flex in the joint. I joined a spare goalpost top to my Ultimax, and now have a rigid frame, 2.5metre top, which accepts my existing clamps, and I can swap with my goalpost rig for the venues I need to. If you are going to only use the Ultimax, then get the Trusslite top ( I think) as opposed to the single bar, and clamps to suit.

I have the micro stand and single light bar, which is smaller than a 40mm goalpost, but to be honest if you're putting led effects on it and maybe a couple of scanners, it works well in my opinion. I agree the truss typr top would be good, but too big for the micro stand, and may be top heavy when loaded.

I'll have a look around for the lighting bar, especially the Trusslite one.
