got two of them first what lead should a buy so they can link together? i have tried using xlr to xlr audio cables and they just say smart on the screen and click every now and again? and dont move or anything thanks

Read the manual, which if it's like my Genis, will tell you to make all connections first before powering up. Standard XLR's may work, but dedicated DMX are better. You will need to set one as master and one as slave. I think you will set these up by the display, rather than dipswitches, which the older ones have.
