I spent a summer season in 1995 at Nodes Point as a redcoat (Well Havenmate). The club house was always a nightmare to entertain in as it looks like a swimming pool.
The IOW is great when the sun is shining but I have to admit there's not alot to do there.

Sorry buddy, not been around much this week. Lots going on. Actually not been on the island very much anyway - maybe next time :)

That'll be a bit more lively ;)

Precisely why I love it here. This year's not been the best from a sun point of view but we normally get something like 300+ sunny days a year hence it's great most of the time :beer1:

I was in Northwood for the week.
There isn't a lot to do for the teenagers which is a shame.
We didnt go to the zoo as we was told its just lions and snakes, or mainly just them.
Robin Hill was quite good, there is this rollcercoaster simulator thing, and collossus, but not the collossus everyone knows.
Hoping to go back with a few mates in about 2-3 months time
By the way why is most things named vectis something?

Learn something new everyday : Thanks.

Its changed a bit now but the club isnt as big as I thought it would be when we got taken to see the staff do fantaser.
They only get £7,000 a year!
There like animals they have like Sparky, Sparkle and Narky arent as good as Rory the tiger IMO :D
Im booking a week back with two mates at nodes point as my grandad works there and gets a discount so were going there to spend more money stuff as everything costs slightly more

I went to the IOW for a long weekend a couple of years ago and had a great time except I couldnt find a pub in Sandown (where I was staying) with real ale. It was all lager or keg bitter.
