Been looking for a good mixer to replace my old Yamaha.

Really nice mixer, sound quality is very good (well, as you'd expect from A&H really), faders feel good, and have a nice curve on them. I've personally not used the USB on it, but guess it works as any USB would. The four rca sends are useful, two for monitors, and two if you going to use a DSP effects unit, for karaoke etc...
It comes into its own when your using it for bands with its duo-pre pre amp thingys as it lets you be more flexible with the EQ's (its hard to explain, but works LoL).

yes it seems a bit big, but its to replace a Yamaha mg 12/4 in a rack case, so the size is much the same.

If he does karaoke there will be 4 mics running, 3 for the singers, 1 for the presenter, 2 sources of music, 1 or 2 source of karaoke, So thats a few channels used already.

Got the A&H mixer, have used the USB direct from my Mac, sounds great, faders are great, just buy one, you won't regret it.
