Hey,

I'm happy with my sound system; infact i have 2 possible set-ups!

2 Mackie SRM450s

or

2 EV Stage 200's w/ Yamaha amp.

I'm starting to become very happy with my lighting set-up also.

I have two Acme Magic Gobos & four Acme Dynamo Scanners.

I'd like to purchase a centrepiece in the near future, and possibly the ADJ LED Starball. However, i'd also want something that offers a good colour wash.

As far as the centrepiece goes, i think it's between the ADJ Revo 3 (impossibLED) & QuadGem (miracLED), what are your opinions on these two units? I like the LED Starball because it offers me some lighting for slower songs, and also has the advantages of LED lighting, this could also be the centrepiece? Last but not least, wash lighting.. I'd prefer for it to be LED for obvious reasons, but there are so many units out there, i'm unsure what i need?!

Also, what would you say should be the next purchase? A centrepiece? Starball? Wash lighting?

I know there are alot of questions, but i'd be interested to hear your points of view.

Thank you! :)

All comes down to your budget. How much are you looking to spend ?

Well, for an LED centrepiece no more than £140.

As for wash lighting, as cheap as possible, so would this be multiple par cans? colour strips?

ive been looking at the Acme isolution IC3 or IC4 for a colour wash. 3 to 4 - 500w bulbs in a small box, looks a lot less hassle than 4 parcans etc. dmx controllable too. anyone every used one of these?

Yep, we've got a load of 3s, one of them takes up a fraction less space than 2 Visio pars. The connections (& therefore the set up) are identical, so no more or less hassle.

I've used the icolour4 before, and i thought it's a great unit. For wash lighting, i'd prefer something LED.. low heat, long life etc

I was looking at the ADJ Mega Bar LED... Does this offer a good wash of a room?

You'll need more than one though.

If i did buy them, i'd put 2 across the top of my goalpost.
