It just strikes me as odd that when it was available there didn't seem to be anyone selling things, then over the last week or so everyone is selling kit.

(I know some of them did use it, but no where near to the amount trying to sell now)

To be fair I used it, even ascertained interest before listing and... no dice.

I have to say it wasn't especially user-friendly.

No more so than eBay

I helped test it when it was being set up & frankly it was a doddle to use.

My guess is because it's probably at least 10 times faster to type what you're selling here rather than going through the process of setting up a formal listing on DJ bids...and people generally go for the quickest & easiest option.

I used it to buy my hosting from Marc J and sold a CA8 (before I realised I needed one and had to buy another one)

indeed so ... but limited as to who sees it so maybe it was deemed slightly more worth the effort when you can put just about anything into google and ebay pops up eg. world dwarf throwing champion and the first link would probably be

buy a world dwarf throwing champion on ebay.....

I think dj bids was and is a superb idea just don't think it had or has the coverage to be successful sadly even though you are selling to a targeted market so to speak. just my humble opinion

That's exactly what I said, although described in a slightly less polite way!

Like this forum you mean?

even more so i would say personally as if you put say sound card into the search engine you may come up with a thread on that subject on the forum , however even if you come across the forum in such a way which is quite easy to do and i presume what you are angling at ? you then have to know what dj bids is what it's for and then click on the link at the top to get to it hence my thinking that dj bids is probably slightly more difficult to find than the forum?? :D :D :D

Which is why we had the DJ Bids forum to show what's listed.
