ImpossibLED or MiracLED

Hey

I'm wanting to purchase a light to use as a centrepiece in the very near future. At the minute, it's out of the ImpossibLED or MiracLED.

My current lighting consists of 4 Acme Dynamos & 2 Acme Magic Gobos. So what would you think would compliment my current lighting the best?

Any suggestions would be much appriciated, but no more than £140 please!

If its a center piece your after it has to be the ImpossibLED due to its wide coverage and wide angle projection.

Could even loose the Acme Magic Gobo effects too.

I got the ImpossibLED and (as many on here are) am very happy with it. Good coverage and nice and bright.

I would get the CA8 controller if you haven't already got one though. Very useful for blackout and changing through the modes.

I just think it would be an over kill for the show, With the ImpossibLED shining on the floor the magic gobos won't hardly be seen. Unless you point the ImpossibLED onto the ceiling and then keep the dynamos and Magic Gobos focused on the dancefloor area?

I think if it looks OK with all of your lights on, or a combination of any of them to suit the music, then you have a good balance, I like to change the mix of lights throughout the night, I think it's boring to keep the same all night.

I disagree. I use my ImpossibLED with 2 Acme Puma's (the Magic Gobo's big brother) and it works really well. I have the ImpossibLED aimed at the centre of the dance floor and the 2 puma's directed to the sides of the LED effect.

Then i have 2 other lighting effects to give off a different visual effect to give my light show abit of variety.

I looked at both and have to say the MiracLED won for me.

It gives four active circles of light spread from left to right and incredibly good.

I'm delighted with it.

Another thing, the MiracLED is wide and short, therefore doesn;t take up so much vertical space when hanging in the middle of your stand.

I wasn't saying which was better, only giving my opinion on what I have used and seen. I haven't seen the MiracLED in 'the flesh' so can't really comment. It does look like a nice effect though but I think a pair would be better than one.

The only problem with the Miracled is its a very long and thin effect, which in my opinion stops it being a center peice. It is however a very good effect and i mainly use it to project onto walls or cieling. It also looks very good with smoke.
You could always link up two but then you may as well go for Impossibled and save some £££'s
