Impossibled strobe effect?

Hi all
Just got myself an impossibled which i will be using saturday night. I cant work out how to make it strobe, its not dmx linked to anything. Been playing with the various programmes on the back (and getting lost!) Can someone please talk me through it in the simplest of english before i lose the will to live!:bang: :bang: :bang:

To make it strobe you press the bottom button on the ca'8 controller and on the back of the unit it will sat 0, then press and hold the middle to make it strobe.

Can you make some of the lights stay on static with a c8 controller, or is that only posible with a dmx controller?
