USB Mixer vs Headphone Mixer

Hi people,
As some of you will know I have been looking at some new equipment and have just bought a USB 3channel mixer. I just wondered, will the sound quality be better quality instead of using the headphone socket?

from laptop / PC usb is better as direct and its a sound card
