Birthday discos

I got a letter from a Birthday disco company (name escapes me - will update when I get home) who promise they can get me loads of work (as they all do). ;)

It's basically a list of people's birthdays where they send you the persons details and you can mail them with disco offers. You tell them what age groups you want to do and what area you cover.

I think this is a little like spamming in my book, unless they've agreed to be in the listings (I find this hard to believe). :confused:

I haven't looked into it so don't know how much it is.

My question is, have any of you signed up to anything like this? and if so, has it brought you any extra work in.

sounds like a fleecing agency, ask them for full terms and conditions

Targetted marketing can work but it needs to be done well.
