I need another cheapy effect to go with the Miracled for an install.

Preferably led, around £100 and not an Impossibled as they are a bit manic.

Not pars as I have 4 of those already going in. Something with a bit of movement maybe?

Over to you.

Hya Daz how about the ACME Marvled, they are a bit smaller than the Impossibled but have a decent spread and not quite as active as the Impossibled either, so may compliment the Miracled a bit as apposed to competing.

They don't really move though, do they?

I was thinking along the lines of a Tango or a couple of Led Penguins so give a bit of movement. Anyone used them?

I've seen the vids on Youtube, but not seen them 'live' so to speak.

Arr righty I see what you mean, I have seen the Led Penguins but didn't seem very bright but not seen the Tango

The tango is not very bright either. Since purchasing a miracled about 4 months ago I have only used it twice. I find it not enough to use on its own and like Daz cant find anything which really goes with it. I normally use a couple of stormbirds with it but they can be quite manic.

Y saw a LED mirror ball on the Sounds Unlimited site I think that looked pretty good to me.

That was the first thing I looked at funnily enough!

I might have to reconsider.

The lighting rig is fairly old fashioned but surprisingly effective. There will be 30 odd pinspots, mirrorball, 4 x led par 56s, 1 x Miracled, 4 x par 36 scanners and one other effect (Tba) There is also some Arcline type tubing.

Coming out (in case anyone wants to make me an offer) are 8 x par 64s, 1 x strobe (not sure on power) and 4 x mirror scanner things (not very good!)

I'm delighted with my Revo Roll LED Barrel. Plenty of movement, sharp optics.

Hmmmm....I like the look of that, though barrels do lok a bit random at times. Doees it leave any spaces anywhere Peter, if you know what I mean?

To my eternal shame I don't know what you mean, all I can say is that you often get multiple images, with it being a barrel, the images themselves alter, the biggest downside is that it's not as bright and striking as say a modern Geni Spin 3. With too many other lights in play, particularly if they're filament lights it can get lost a bit.

My wording probably wasn't very good. I have found with most barrels that the gobos or whatever is being projected is generally in a line and I was wondering if this was the case?

I'm not worried about it being killed off by other lights as most of the other lights are 30w pinspots!

I think they're 64s - only thing is, only two of the lamps work I think. Having said that, we won't want a lot for them.

Not linear, no. Arc yes. Good spread, low light intensity versus a 250w Filament effect, but probably fine against another LED effect.

How about an American DJ Mystic LED? They have good movement, & not much over £100.

I've been looking into this effect as well. looks like the new generation of the much loved mushroom effect lights. Has anybody got one of these units? any chance of some videos/pictures or reviews:)

Well in the end I went for something outside the budget....typical!

American DJ Revo scans from DJPro. (http://www.djpro.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1540&shpsessid=5ced420ebc11aad62699b24926fb4003)

I liked Excalibur's suggestion of the barrel, but thought scans would look a bit better with the Miracled. We are installing next Wednesday, so some of you will see it on Friday ;)
